The Perfect Blouse

This blouse has great directions and super princess seaming for ease in fitting.  This class will focus on the bodice, darts and shaping, hemming techniques and closures (that includes sewing on the buttons and making the button holes).  Also, collars and cuffs -- maybe even a ruffle or two!  Once the basic fitting is done, the creativity begins.  Make it in a short, medium or long length.  Same goes for the sleeves.  This basic blouse offers great opportunity for individual design.

Topics covered:
Session 1 Get measured, and adjust the pattern. Discuss and choose fabric. Cut out a muslin.
Working with the the muslin and adjusting fit and cutting your blouse fabric.

Session 2 Constructing your blouse, interfacing and seam finishes.
Finishing and adding the designer details like buttons, buttonholes and hemming techniques.

All Day Covers Sessions 1 and 2

Students may need to do some work at home (homework)in order to complete blouse.

Fee

The fee is $175.00 plus pattern and supplies.  A supply list will be provided at registration.
